This shows that the original Sanskrit does not include the word that means ' realm ' ( ' kai ' in Japanese ) , but in Japan the Mandala has been called the ' Taizokai ' ( Womb Realm ) Mandala since the Heian period , because it makes a pair with the ' Kongokai ' ( Diamond Realm ) Mandala .

In Japan , it is believed that Saicho conducted the first Kanjo at Jingo-ji Temple at Mt . Takao in 805 ( Saicho received the teachings of Himitsu ( secret ) kanjo from Jungyo at Ryuko-ji Temple when he visited Tang , and later received Kanjo in Kongokai ( Diamond Realm ) and Taizokai ( Womb Realm ) that were brought from Kukai .

In Tomitsu , they teach sermons by Kongokai ( Diamond Realm ) and Taizo ( Womb Realm ) , but in Taimitsu , they teach three great sermons , Taizo , Kongokai , and Soshitsuji ( Wonderful Accomplishment ) . The Five Buddhas in Womb Realm are a kind of venerable image in Buddhism .

The Butsu bosatsu drawn in the mandalas of the two realms , Vajradhatsu ( Diamond realm ) and Garbhadhatsu ( Womb realm ) , were considered the true forms of Buddha , and god ( Shinto ) was interpreted as its manifested form . He received his initiation ( kanjo ) from the high monk , Gensei ( 元政 ) of Da Xing Shan Temple and from Gishin of Qinglong Temple , receiving instruction in the basic laws of the Diamond Realm , the Womb Realm , Rushanakyo , and Soshitsuji .

However , the two armed image seen in the Womb Realm Mandala is not the goddess image that became widely worshipped in Japan but the bodhisattva form . Womb Realm Mandala ( abbreviated ) , ink on paper On January 23 , 813 , Taihan , along with Saicho and others , did receive the succession ritual of the Womb Realm from Kukai at Takaosan-ji Temple ( Jingo-ji Temple ) , and thereafter became a disciple of Kukai . In the lower level is a Womb Realm Dainichi Nyorai ; and in the upper level are relics of the Buddha and 1000 Lotus Sutras ( Hokkekyo ) .
