Bodhisattvabhūmi Śāstra; The sixteenth section of the Yogācārabhūmi Śāstra. Attributed to Asaṇga or Maitreyanātha, the work deals in detail with the entire career and training of a Bodhisattva. It comprises four parts;
(1) the Adhāra-yoga-sthāna in 29 chapters covering the main features and practices of a Bodhisattva's training;
(2) the Adhāra-Anuyoga-sthāna in four chapters covering the subsidiary practices;
(3) the Adhāra-niṣṭhā-yoga-sthāna in six chapters dealing with the outcome of the training; and
(4) the Anukrama which summarizes the stages of the Bodhisattva's path in sequence.
The work survives in Sanskrit as well as Tibetan, Chinese, and Mongolian translations.
