The cosmologic vision and the theory of universal emanation from the perspective of the nondualist doctrine of Kashmir Shaivism2020 •
The monistic vision of Kashmir Shivaism defines creation as a process of condensation of vibration level, from the supreme transcendental sphere to the absolute concretisation of the plan of physical existence. This condensation can also be defined as a descent of a supreme divine idea from the fundamental continuum of transcendent consciousness. Starting from the absolute sphere or realm of transcendence (which in turn is discussed and divided into distinct segments according to the distance or closeness from the Unique Principle), within the sphere of the individual being, that of the conscious subject, consecutive manifestations capable of obscuring the reality of the transcendental nature occur and create the illusion of separation and limitation. This article aims to discuss the process of cosmic emanation and the soteriological vision of this doctrine. General and historical considerations The doctrine of Shaivism perhaps one of the lesser known philosophical doctrines of India is however one of the most complex. The general term of Kashmir Shaivism was used to refer to several doctrines and philosophical systems that have developed in the region of Kashmir during the period from the 9th century and the 11th century C.E. It is difficult to determine whether the origins of these philosophical currents can be pursued further in time, however there are references that appear in the writings of Patanjali (2nd century B.C.) to the austere practices of Shaivism, thus we can deduce the fact that these philosophical systems pre-existed. Although we can say that there are many similarities between the god Shiva as it appears portrayed in the Puranas nevertheless the doctrine of Kashmir Shaivism crystallized with the emergence of the concept of an impersonal and transcendent divinity that we become
This essay is a basic interpretative essay of the Hindu Tri-Marga and Hindu Dharma as it can be cosmologically understood through history. This essay delves into an interpretive understanding of the depth of the Tri-Marga in Hinduism by offering an interpretation of a Hindu cosmology defined by Dharmic significance as it is enpresented in the continuous development of Hindu history. Thus my goal is to present a historical and religious interpretation of the development of a Hindu cosmology by addressing the Hindu historical enpresenting of dharmic truth and meaning through interpretive schemas of time, practice, and experience. This paper was originally intended for teaching purposes at an undergraduate level.

“The main difference between microcosm and Macrocosm is that microcosm suffers from imperfection whereas Macrocosm is perfect. In other words, the unit is imperfect and the Cosmic is perfect. But through sádhaná or persistent spiritual endeavor, microcosm attains perfection, it becomes Macrocosm,” explains Shrii Shrii Anandamurti. “For Him (Macrocosm) the universe is a mental creation. How is mental creation done? It is a collection of innumerable mental waves.” “So everything is in the mind of Parama Puruśa (the Supreme Entity). This universe is His mental creation. This universe is the Macropsychic conation.” “Let us take the story of creation. It is right to say that there is Cosmic entity and the Cosmic consciousness which are transcendental entities. But nothing concrete is created. The flow continues and gradually emerge geometrical figures of sentient, mutative and static principles. Then only it can be felt that there will be a systolic vibration in the body. Vibration is always wavy, always systaltic, always pulsative. Due to this, the feeling of ‘I exist’ comes in the creation. This ‘I exist’ feeling is extremely dominant. In all of us there is an ‘I’ feeling and you know that ‘I’ by your name, by your body and by your activity. Due to our worldly existence, we know that ‘I am the master of so and so’. The removal of this feeling is extremely difficult. The feeling that ‘I am now here’ is most difficult for us to bring in ourselves.” Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrti (1921-1990) was a Tantric guru in the tradition of Shiva and Krishna. Although Shiva is considered by many to be a mythological figure, Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrti describes him as a historical personality in his book Namah Shiváya Shántáya. He lived about 7000 years ago and made many spiritual, social and cultural contributions to the society of that time. Shrii Shrii Anandamurti has described Shiva as a Mahásambhúti or “special manifestation of the Supreme Consciousness” who expressed the spiritual nucleus of the universe through a human structure, as did Krishna in a later era. Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrti or Prabhat Rainjan Sarkar (1922-1990) was apparently also such a personality, in the tradition of Shiva and Krishna.
