Hi Sarah,
These quotes don’t appear in the Zab mo nang don, but since there are many citations from the Vajramala, I will be searching it repeatedly. If I come across these, I’ll let you know.

What seems to be the same verse as the first of the two that you mention appears in Nagarjuna’s Pañcakrama, ch. 2, v. 2.
།ཇི་ལྟར་ཆུ་ལ་ཆུ་བཞག་དང་།།ཇི་ལྟར་མར་ལ་མར་བཞིན་དུ།།
རང་གིས་རང་གི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ནི།།ལེགས་མཐོང་གང་ཡིན་འདིར་ཕྱག་ཡིན།།
The original Sanskrit states:
yathā jalaṃ jale nyastaṃ dhṛtaṃ caiva yathā dhṛte /
svakīyaṃ ca svayaṃ paśyet jñānaṃ yatreha vandanā //
Indian commentaries to Nagarjuna’s work and several Indian commentaries toCandrakirti’s Pradīpodyotana also address this verse. I wasn’t able to find any mention that this verse is from a particular tantra. I know so little about this literature that I can’t offer anything beyond this source.

to:
yathā jalaṃ jale nyastaṃ ghṛtaṃ caiva yathā ghṛte /
ghṛtaṃ is clarified butter, not dhṛtaṃ
