Facts behind Dalai Lama's money-making and rumor-spreading activities

Recently, the Dalai Lama made frequent visits in many western countries. The themes of the "lectures" he held were various, and some were even related to the environment and climate change issue which the entire world is giving a lot of attention towards.

For example, the title of his speech in Hobart was "Our Earth – Who Should Be Responsible for It," which was quite appealing. However, a good title does not mean good content.

According to media reports, the Dalai Lama said almost nothing about the environment and climate change in his speech; instead what he spoke of mostly was his Buddhist studies. It really made the audience, who spent a lot of money on the expensive tickets, feel deceived.

Although the content of the speech had absolutely nothing to do with the title, it did not prevent the Dalai Lama from making a large profit.

It was reported that ticket prices for his first "lecture" in Sydney were as high as 175 Australian dollars, and the total ticket income from a single "lecture" reached 750,000 Australian dollars. The large profits are probably an important factor enabling him to travel around the world here and there.

There are other reasons as well. While the Dalai Lama is "preaching" or giving "lectures," his words are always connected with the "Grand Tibet High Degree of Autonomy," which he cares about a great deal.

Once this topic is mentioned, he will always connect it with negotiations between his representatives and Chinese central government's representatives.

Since the world is interested in this issue much more than his "Buddhist studies," and even more than the environment and climate change, every word he says attracts a lot of attention from the media.

However, the Dalai Lama did not tell the truth regarding the negotiations to his audience. He falsified and distorted the truth and started some rumors which would benefit him but harm the central government's representatives.

If the Dalai Lama's lies are not clarified, they will not only directly damage the reputation of Chinese central government's representatives but also severely damage the central government's reputation.
