What we’re about

Through Meetup, I've been having some great discussions with people interested in all kinds of meditative practices - into which I've chipped bits of my knowledge and experiences of Nichiren Buddhism, which I've practised for many years under the lay 'sangha' of Soka Gakkai International UK. SGI-UK discussions on this very dynamic form of Buddhism take place in all London neighbourhoods, where newly starting and merely curious guests are always welcome. <br>This MeetUp group will mostly flag up the regular public introductory talks at the London Ikeda Peace Centre in Kings Cross, and other London centres in Acton and Brixton. They are free to attend, and there's no obligation to actively engage. From these, you can find out details of SGI-UK groups local to you. Further information can be found at the website: https://sgi-uk.org

Fueled by inspiring, creative dialogues I've enjoyed in other related Meetups, my initial thought in plugging these introductions to the Meetup community is to offer moral support to those who might be interested to go along to these events. My idea is to latch on to the existing momentum of these sessions and add a small, friendly forum where we can talk over notes and queries arising from the lecture topics, either within the centre itself or a nearby cafe. That said, I live in Walthamstow and support a dozen or so existing SGI-UK meeting groups throughout East London. If Kings Cross isn't on your radar or my suggested Meetup times don't suit you, but you'd be interested in doing something a bit further to the East or North East, let's touch base and see else what we can fix up.

SGI-UK LOCAL LEADERS: if you're planning local intro meetings of your own and would like to advertise them here, please contact me. (London only at the moment)
