Rigdzin Gyurme Tsewang Gyatso, the father and one of the teachers of Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö. He was an emanation of the great translator Vairotsana and was himself the son of Serpa Tergen, a master responsible for maintaining the teachings of the great tertön Rigdzin Düddul Dorje. He was one of the main students of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo who gave him the secret name Chime Nangdzé Dorje. He was the custodian of some of Khyentse Wangpo's precious teachings such as the Chimé Pakmé Nyingtik, and a holder of the Rinchen Terdzö.
