Loden Sherab Dagyab

Loden Sherab Dagyab Rinpoche Born on 27 July 1940 in Menya, Eastern Tibet, he was recognized as the reincarnation of the 9th Kyabgoen of Dagyab at the age of four.

A member of the Gelukpa linage, Rinpoche graduated from the Drepung monastic college. He also monastic communities of Nyagre Khangtsen of Gaden and of Ratö monastery. Among his teachers were H.H. Trijang Rinpoche and H.H. Ling Rinpoche (both tutors of H.H. the XIV Dalai Lama).

Exile

In 1959, Rinpoche left Lhasa together with the 14th Dalai Lama to Dharamsala into exile. At the university's invitation in 1966, he joined Bonn University, Germany, to work as a Tibetologist at its Institute for Central Asian Studies.

In 2004, Rinpoche founded the Tibet House in Frankfurt, Germany.
