Long-life vases, also known as tse-bums, are important ritual-objects used for conferring longevity initiations, as well as being placed on altars and mandalas to symbolize Amitayus Buddha, the buddha of longevity. These vases are filled with many precious substances and therein consecrated for the showering of health, wealth, prosperity and all positive things that come with enlightenment.
