THE LEGEND OF DZOGCHEN MADO
There is a story about that famous halidom, Dzogchen Mado in the Dzogchen Monastery.

Once, the procurator-general of the Procuratorate of Dege County, Sichuan province, heard that there was a magical halidom called Dzogchen Mado. If someone wore it, he or she could survive from the bullet penetration!

The procurator-general didn’t believe it, but he still found a precious Dzogchen Mado and had someone pull in a dog, intending to check whether the Dzogchen Mado had the function of Bullet-proof or not.
Soon, a Dzogchen Mado was hung around the dog’s neck. Because the procurator-general could be armed with guns, he drew out his gun and shot that dog. Unexpectedly, the dog fell down immediately. At this time, the procurator-general was in high spirits. He thought that the legendary halidom is so vulnerable and it was not magical at all!
However, the procurator-general saw that although the dog had fell down, it was still breathing; so, he shot it again.

But after a while, that big dog jumped to its feet and shook its body. The two bullets fell down and the dog began to jump around again!

At this moment, the procurator-general got confused! He asked his subordinates to catch the dog! He wanted to inspect the injury of the dog himself! He was dumbfounded at the result. Because the bullets did not penetrate the dog’s body and there was no bullet wound at all!
The procurator-general was completely served! He became very respectful when he met Dzogchen Mado since then.
