The Monthly Wrathful Guru Rinpoche Lama Drakpo Kilaya Puja
On the auspicious Guru Rinpoche Day, Dechen Choekhor Mahavihara will be holding the monthly Wrathful Guru Rinpoche - Lama Drakpo Kilaya puja, alternate with the Peaceful Guru Rinpoche -Konchok Chidu puja.
THE SOURCE OF LINEAGE
Lama Drakpo Kilaya is a very secret practice of Drukpa Kargyu. It is not a practice that commonly known or explain publicly. This particular Guru Drakpo Kilaya is a Dhanang, namely the Lineage of Pure Vision revealed by Pema Karpo.
When Pema Karpo is very young, Guru Rinpoche came into his dream as an Indian Sadhu. In the dream, the old man told Pema Karpo, “I was sent by Guru Rinpoche to overcome your immense obstacle this year. Listen to this instruction, listen.”
The Sadhu gave Pema Karpo a detailed instruction on how to visualize the deity, how the deity look like, how to meditate Dzogpa Chenpo and how to link the practice to Dzogpa Chenpo, etc., more than half a page of practice instruction. Later, Pema Karpo composed this Drukpa Kargyu sadhana of Guru Drakpo Kilaya, the heart treasure of Pema Karpo, given to him directly by Guru Rinpoche.
