Musashi Tachikawa (Numata Visiting Professor, Fall 2012) Musashi Tachikawa received his Ph.D. in Sanskrit and Indian Studies from Harvard University and was Professor at the National Museum of Ethnology (1992-2004) and Aichi Gakuin University (2004 to 2011) in Japan. He also was a visiting professor of Buddhist studies at the University of California, Berkeley (1987), at the University of Chicago (1992) and at Leiden University, The Netherlands (2001).
