Narodakini


Narodakini ( Tib. na ro mkha ' spyod, also: Sarvabuddhadakini; Khachoma Naro Naro Khado ) is the so -called Tibetan Buddhist initiation Dakini of Naropa ( 1016-1100 ), a well-known Buddhist teacher.

In the Buddhist conception manifests itself at the moment of enlightenment, the wisdom and the blessings of all the Buddhas as Narodakini. It is the main yidam Naropa and is also popular in the Gelug and Sakya tradition.

In Tibetan Buddhism - as for instance in the European Gothic or the iconography - the detailed nature of the representation of this spirit being relevant and characterizing:

Narodakini is of red body color, has a face with a third wisdom eye and two hands. Your right arm she has stretched downwards away from the body, keeping a machete in her left hand she holds a blood-filled skull bowl to the top. She easily put her head back to drink with relish from the shell can. Over her shoulder is a crowned with a Dorje Tantric rod.

In the Alidha position she stands on Kalaratra and Bhairavi, which symbolize the anger and desire. Sometimes, located in her hair a dharma or a Doppeldorje.

It is surrounded by wisdom flames.
