Welcome to PSMC

The Panditarama Sydney Meditation Centre (PSMC) was established in 2000 to help all meditators (yogis) who need mentor to guide for how to practicing in meditation.

The Centre provides facilities for the teaching and practice of satipatthana vipassana or insight meditation in the tradition of the late Venerable Mahasi Sayadaw of Myanmar. All meditators (yogis) are welcome to the intensive Vipassana (Insight) Meditation retreats. These retreats will provide a good opportunity for meditators to develop mindfulness necessary for spiritual insights that lead to enlightenment.

inaugural

The Centre also provide programmes and courses pertaining to the teaching of Buddhist principles and fundamentals to young people so that our young generation can perpetuate this Buddhist path for the future.

PSMC OBJECTIVES

  1. Providing a centre where practitioners can meditate in peace.
  2. School where young one can learn Buddhist fundamentals.
  3. Making a positive forum for the community with activities to exchange views and cultural practices.
  4. Creating opportunities for teaching/learning with regard to Dhamma and Insight Meditation.

WHAT IS Vipassana meditation?

The term Vipassana can be explained as a way to have a penetrating insight or understanding into the true nature of the physical and mental phenomena in oneself: impermanence, dissatisfaction and non-self.

With Vipassana meditation as a guide to see things as they truly are, you will gain a clear comprehension of your mind and body, thus allowing for a more positive outlook in life.
