Perceiver of the World's Sounds Sutra
観音経 (Chin Kuan-yin-ching; Jpn Kannon-gyo )

Another name for the "Perceiver of the World's Sounds" (twenty-fifth) chapter of the Lotus Sutra, translated into Chinese by Kumarajiva in 406. In China and Japan, this chapter circulated as an independent sutra. It praises Bodhisattva Perceiver of the World's Sounds, who benefits and saves people out of profound compassion.
