Linearization from Complex Lie Point Transformations2014 •
Complex Lie point transformations are used to linearize a class of systems of second order ordinary differential equations (ODEs) which have Lie algebras of maximum dimensiond, withd≤4. We identify such a class by employing complex structure on the manifold that defines the geometry of differential equations. Furthermore we provide a geometrical construction of the procedure adopted that provides an analogue inR3of the linearizability criteria inR2.

Jantung merupakan salah satu organ penting yang terdapat pada tubuh manusia. Fungsi vital yang diperankan oleh organ jantung berpengaruh besar terhadap kondisi seseorang yang dapat dilihat dari isyarat fisiologi yang dihasilkan oleh aktivitas kelistrikan jantung yang dapat diukur dan direkam berupa electrocardiogram (EKG). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kelainan jantung atau aritmia berupa atrial fibrillation (AF) pada isyarat EKG. Data penelitian yang digunakan berasal dari Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Tugurejo Semarang yang terdiri dari data pasien dengan kasus atrial fibrillation (AF) dan data ECG normal atau normal sinus rhythm (NSR). Data yang diambil dalam bentuk data cetak, selanjutnya di lakukan scanning untuk mendapatkan data citra digital agar dapat diproses dengan komputer. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir sistem video pengintaian menjadi sangat populer karena masalah keamanan yang meningkat dan tidak memerlukan banyak biaya dari sisi perangkat keras. Namun untuk mendeteksi perilaku mencurigakan masih dilakukan secara manual oleh manusia sehingga tidak efisien dari sisi akurasi dan tenaga. Sehubungan dengan fakta tersebut para peneliti berusaha membuat suatu sistem yang dapat mendeteksi secara otomatis dan <em>real time</em> perilaku mencurigakan dari satu orang atau lebih dan memberi peringatan kepada petugas kemanan. Adapun masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana mendeteksi arah pergerakan kendaraan di jalan raya dengan menerapkan algoritma <em>optical flow</em>. This study investigates the impact of the business cycle on the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) for the Eswatini Kingdom over the period 1970-2014. To this end, we employ the nonlinear autoregressive distributive lag (NARDL) model to capture the long-run and short-run cointegration effects between economic activity and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions over different phases of the business cycle. Our findings reveal that economic activity only degrades the environment during upswing of the economic cycle whilst this relationship is insignificant during downswing of the cycle. We specifically compute a value of $3.57 worth of output been gained at the cost of a metric unit of emissions during economic expansionary phases. Altogether, these results insinuate much needed government intervention in the market for emissions via environmental tax reforms (ETR) which should be designed with countercyclical bias towards upswing the business cycle.

Analysis of state estimation for power system using weighted least square method2014 •
In the power system various quantities like power, voltage, and currents are analog quantities where the conversion of these analog quantities are converted into the digital output by A/D converter. These digital outputs are telemetered to energy control centre over various communication links. This process may involve the imperfect or bad measurement so that state estimation process estimates the true value of the state variable. Imperfect or bad measurement should be reduced by the state estimation process so that reliability of estimated data will be will be increased by the reducing bad measurement which may be present in the system. Data at the energy control centre used for the finding the system performance in real time for system security and condition of economic dispatch. In this paper Weighted Least Square (WLS) method is discussed for 6-bus sample power system and IEEE 30-bus power system.
