Shao-k'ang

Shao-k'ang (Jp. Shoko) [?-805]

Shao-k'ang coverted to Pure Land teachings after reading Shan-tao's writings. He then propogated Pure Land teachings extensively and became known as Go-Zendo, "the latter day Zendo".
