The actions of Bodhisatvas have an excellent basis,

the wish to attain enlightenment for the benefit of all.

They are performed with an excellent objective,

the temporary and ultimate happiness of others.

They are intended as an excellent purification

of the affective and cognitive obstructions of beings.

They are accompanied by excellent means,

the realization of the emptiness of doer, deed, and recipient.

They are accomplished through excellent conduct,

avoiding harm and incorporating all ten perfections.

Any merit accrued is the object of an excellent dedication

for the welfare and unsurpassed enlightenment of all.
