Accumulated Great Treasures Sutra
大宝積経 (Chin Ta-pao-chi-ching; Jpn Daihoshaku-kyo )
Also known as the Accumulated Treasures Sutra. A compilation of 49 smaller sutras into a single work comprising 77 chapters in 120 volumes. Under the aegis of the imperial court of the T'ang dynasty in China, Bodhiruchi began the translation and compilation of the sutra in 705 and completed it in 713. It contains numerous teachings included in a variety of Mahayana sutras. Among the 49 smaller sutras from which he compiled this sutra, Bodhiruchi translated 26 himself. The remaining 23 had been translated by Kumarajiva, Dharmaraksha (the Dharmaraksha known as the "Bodhisattva of Tun-huang"), and others.
