Tantric Yoga and sex with Gurus

Not once, anywhere, does Chöpel mention 12 year olds and sex. He is very clear: 12 year olds are not interested in, nor ready for, sex.

Yes it does, but it doesn't say the age like other tantric texts do. I own the book, and it states in the beginning of the book that it came from tantra. It is a love manual based on tantric sex. All people have to do is read the book to see that you are spreading wrong here.

Here is what he says on page 135:

He warns me not to abuse young girls (This doesn't say that they are not used in these rituals, just not abused). He goes on: "Forcibly doing it with a young girl produces severe pains and wounds her genitalia; consequently, later when giving birth she has difficulties. If it is not the time and if copulating would be dangerous for her, churn about between her thighs, and it will come out. (This "come out" refers to the seed that you are busy denying. Other Tanric texts verify this.

The quote about 12 years old and feeding sweets comes from page 177 of the same book, and I quote:

"A female who is twelve years and younger is called a juvenile. She should be given combs, honey, pastries, etc. She should be told stories of the pleasures of kissing."

In other Tibetan tantric texts it says that this is to make me comply to sex.

He mentions that 26 year old women should be given passion. So. That is not the only age used.

He does not say anything about extracting the female seed from 12 year olds, nor in this section, called "Stages," does he say anything about extracting female seed from anyone whosoever, nor about "ritual" sex whatsoever. I believe I just explained to you that It Will Come Out is referring to seed. Other texts prove this.

The Commentary of the Kalacakra by Lama Geshe Lharampa Ngawang Dhargyey, who was a student of the Dalai Lama and was sent here to spread this religion, states:

“The First Empowerment—The empowerment of the vase.

The point of this empowerment is to ripen the mind of the trainee. First, one imagines offering a girl, between the ages of 12 and 20, to the vajra master...The vase empowerment is actually given when the imagined girl comes back to the trainee who then enjoys her presence though laughing and foundling her breasts. Together with this, one offers the mandala and prayers to the vajra master and request the empowerments.

The vase empowerment is actually given when the imagined girl goes back to the trainee who then enjoys her presence through laughing and fondling her breasts. As one touches the girl’s breasts there arises the ‘bliss’ which should be experienced as indivisible from emptiness. .."

    “The Second Empowerment:

“One imagines that the secret vajra (the penis of the lama) of the vajra master is placed in the mouth of the trainee and ones tastes the white bodhicitta (semen) of the vajra master. This white bodhicitta goes down to the heart-chakra of the devotee and there arises ‘great bliss’.

    “The Third Empowerment:

“a visualized consort, or dakini-consort, is given to the trainee and they enter sexual union. From this union the white bodhicitta descends from the crown of one’s head. When it arrives at the throat-cakra there arises ‘joy.’ When it descends to the heart-cakra there arises ‘supreme joy’. When it descends to the navel-cakra there arises ‘extraordinary joy’. And when it descends to the genital-cakra there arises the ‘spontaneous joy’, which is the highest of these four…

Without allowing the white bodhicitta to come out, but retaining it, one experiences the ‘supreme immutable bliss’…

To allow the white bodhicitta (semen) to come out is actually a root downfall in this tantra.”

The book goes on to state that a real consort will be needed for enlightment to occur.

This last one is especially interesting and comes from the book Tantrism, Its Secret Principles and Practices. It rather left out that the lamas eat feces, drink urine, eat menstral blood, etc.

Forbidden sexuality, including incest and adultery can and indeed must be practiced. Meats like beef, taboo to the Hindu, must be eaten. Alcoholic liquor, so hateful to the orthodox must be drunk. A tantric precept says, `By drinking and drinking and drinking again, rolling on the ground, rising and still drinking, a man saves himself from rebirth.'

And more: "Success with women and the ability to satisfy any number of them was the most coveted goal. This woman-subduing power was aimed at reducing females to a state of insane and demonic desire that only the tantric could assuage. Women could be tormented beyond endurance so they would come in hundreds with disheveled locks, their bodices bursting with ardor for the tantric, however decrepit, old, ugly or impotent he might be.'

...As a cult obligation, followers are enjoined to carry out acts of a progressively more and more anti-social nature, to tell lies in preference to the truth, to steal what belongs to others, to commit robbery and violence, and in the final phase, to commit murder."

And here is what a Lama had to say:

"The reason why the conduct of a Tibetan monk is kept secret from lay people is so that lay people will not criticize monks. ... part of the reason for this is that all Tibetan monks are Vajrayana monks, and so if their conduct seems to be not in keeping with Hinayana [sic] vows, they might get into trouble. Vajrayana monks are not under the same restrictions as Hinayana monks. When one understands the fundamental principle of Vajrayana conduct is to engage sense objects and enjoy them for one's own pleasure, it changes the game of how one understands a Vajrayana monastic's conduct. The monastic thing is merely an outer show. It's not the essence of the practice."

    -from Dharma Wheel

And one more piece of information where a woman is being threatened for exposing Tibetan Buddhism. I, myself, had my share of threats from them if I exposed anything. And to think I was once a Tibetan Buddhist. How stupid of me:

Terror against critics of the Dalai Lama

    Munich:

The Munich sect and occultism critic Colin Goldner is being massively threatened. This is triggered by his new book about the Dalai Lama and Tibetan Buddhism. Among other items, sexual practices of the Lamas with children are exposed. An anonymous letter was received by Goldner’s publishing office in September [1999] in which it was stated that "he must pay for this," if his book is not withdrawn. The note was signed: "Death to the Traitor." http://www.eunacom.net/DalaiLama_E.htm

In order to accurately understand Chopel's book, two things are needed: 1) reading the lengthy introduction, which provides background information as well as extensive line-by-line commentary, and 2) some background in the tantric literature, which does specify sex with 12-year old girls and even 9-year olds (the Hevajra Tantra). One of the sex techniques Chopel suggests for the male, for example, is designed to build "staying power" without ejaculation. This comes from the tantric literature, but it's presented in his book as an "art of love".

As for gurus having sex, I think few would object as long as they kept their penises to themselves in the context of their spiritual service or sangha. If gurus want to have sex, they have the whole wide world outside their sangha to choose from. They could even pay a professional, if necessary. But to exploit vulnerable followers and manipulate them into a sexual relationship, taking advantage of trust and emotional vulnerability is not only highly unethical, it's a breach of fiduciary law. Gurus have been successfully sued on those grounds. I'm not sure why this principle eludes so many people.

It's another issue as to whether gurus should be having sex at all. Celibacy is taken to be proof of spiritual attainment and the absence of attachment to pleasure and the material world. So if the enlightened guru hasn't, in fact, overcome his attachment to sensory pleasure, he's not the enlightened guru he claims to be.
