This is a list of many of the texts to which Tsong Khapa refers in his legs bshad snying po (translated by Robert Thurman in The Central Philosophy of Tibet). It is sorted by the English translation of the title as given by Thurman. This list is intended to enable a reader of the Central Philosophy to quicky determine the Sanskrit tiltle and author of any given text.

To further locate a given text within the Buddhist philosophical context, locate the author on the map Indian Mahayana Buddhist Philosophers and Schools. This will provide approximate dates for the author (and hence his text) and will indicate the philosophical school with which the author is usually associated (according to Tsong Khapa and most later Tibetans). For a partial listing of other texts by a given author, locate the author on the page Indian Mahayana Buddhist Philosophers, Schools and Texts.

Note: This is a partial listing. It does not include texts which are cited only once, or texts cited only a few times for which the author is clearly stated. Bolded words represent common title abbreviations.
