khrims khang lo tsA ba bsod nams rgya mtsho, (1424-1482) - aka lo chen bsod nams rgya mtsho

A close student of the Bengali scholar and Siddha Vanaratna (1384-1468) and Gö Lotsawa Shönnu Pal (1392-1481). The name "khrims khang lo tsA ba" signifies his being a descendant of the family who were the caretakers of the "rnam dag khrims khang gling" temple, one of the minor temples of Samye monastery. His student, the 4th Shamar Rinpoche Chökyi Dragpa Yeshe (1453-1524), authored a lengthy biography of the Lotsawa. [TSD]
