Yeshi Rabgyal was born in 1979 in Dehra Dun, India. His father’s name is Dasang Gyatso and mother is Youdon. In 1987, at the age of eight, he joined Tashi Kyil Monastery where was ordained by Geshe Kalsang. Then his teacher taught him to read and write the Tibetan alphabet. Yeshi Rabgyal learned by studying hard and practicing daily the monastery's rituals and prayers. After a short period, he began to study Tibetan Buddhist philosophy that included the Six Perfections of Wisdom. His studies in the monastery have continued for the past 24 years. In addition to studying Buddhist philosophy, he has learned to read, write, and speak English. Yeshi Rabgyal worked as the manager in the monastery's office for three years.
