Bhavanga :This is the life residue that exists from one life to another.

It forms the foundation of all conscious and unconscious experience. In the Abhidharma literature, it is sometimes identified with conscious residue that retains sensations, feelings, and mental impressions that remain in the form of memories. It is associated with rebirth and death forms of consciousness. In the later Yogãcãra school, this notion is developed into the store-house consciousness (ālāya-vijñāna).
