Ñāṇodaya; It is said that while living in India he composed the Ñāṇodaya and the Atthasālinī, and also began to write a concise commentary (Parittaṭṭhakathā) on the Tripiṭaka (Pāli, Tipiṭaka).

Buddhaghosa apparently prepared a treatise called Ñāṇodaya, of which nothing is known, and an Aṭṭhasālinī, a commentary on the Dhammasaṅgaṇī. The existing commentary by Buddhaghosa on the Dhammasaṅgaṇī is indeed called the Aṭṭhasālinī, but it is not known if this had any relation to the earlier work, if indeed it ever existed.
