Bhatgaon : One of the three cities lying near together in the plain of Nepal (see Kathmandu and Patan). Famous for its wealth of carved buildings, for the great bell in the Durbar Square, and the golden doors of the old Palace, ‘one of the finest specimens of metal-work in Asia’ (Landan).
