12th century CE designation for five early Chinese classical texts which were purportedly compiled by Confucius; they are

1. The Book of Changes (I Ching)
2. Book of History (Shu Ching)
3. Book of Poetry (Shih Ching)
4. Record of Rites (Li Chi)
5. Spring and Autumn Annals (Ch'un Ch'iu).
