   State of mind is a term meaning "mood" or "outlook".

temporary state - a state that continues for a limited time case - a specific state of mind that is temporary; "a case of the jitters"
thinking cap - a state in which one thinks mental condition, mental state, psychological condition, psychological state - (psychology) a mental condition in which the qualities of a state are relatively constant even though the state itself may be dynamic; "a manic state"
