Stupa of Immaculate Light Dharanis
The Main Stupa of the Immaculated Light Dharanis was inaugurated in a ceremony held on December 29th 2006, in the presence of The Ninth Kyabje Khamtrul Rinpoche, the Eighth Kyabje Dorzong Rinpoche, His Eminence Drugu Choegyal Rinpoche, Tokdens, yogis , monks and nuns from Khampagar Monastery and the DMI as well as lay people from the Tashi Jong Community and other places. Auspiciously held on a day with beautiful weather, the inaguration ceremony was followed by the ritual entering of the "u-ma" (center nerve) of the Kshitagarbha Stupa, in preparation for its completion.
The Stupa is filled as follows:
Lower Part: Material of Blessings to develop Generosity and Prosperity - Wealth Gods and Goddesses such as Lakshmi, Dzambhala, Ganapati, Veshramana, Vasudharini, etc.
Above this first part, there are prayers for dedication of merits and aspirations.
In the Middle Body of the Stupa there is a Mandala of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and of the Highest Worldly Gods and Goddesses.
In the Highest Body of the Stupa there is a Mandala of the Five Buddha Families.
In the Middle and Highest Body of the Stupa among several others mantras, there are inside some dharanis like: Five Main Dharanis (two hundred thousand of each); Buddha Akshobhya's mantra (sixty six million) as well as three hundred thousand pictures of Buddha Akshobhya's form; hand-made clay statues of Buddha Amitabha, White Tara and Ushnish Vijaya (Tsuktor Namgyalma), (ten thousand) as well as pictures of them (one million five hundred); mantras of Buddha Amitayus (one hundred three million five hundred eighty); Buddha Amitayus sutras (two hundred thousand); the Confession Sutras of Thirty Five Buddhas (four hundred thousand); Samantabhadra's Dedication Prayer (four hundred thousand); different collections of mantras, dharanis and prayers (one million four hundred thousand); four sets of Buddhist Canon; one set of Buddhist Texts translated from Indian intoTibetan language; teachings from all Tibetan Buddhist Schools: Nyingma, Sakya, Kagyu and Gelug; Long Dedication Prayer of Tsangpa Gyare (one hundred thousand); Dedication Prayer of Future Buddha Maitreya (one hundred thousand); three sets of Good Auspicious Words of Buddha Sakyamuni (three hundred thousand).
In the u-ma (middle nerve of the Stupa that goes from the dedication of merits to the top) surrounded by mantras, there are Previous Buddha Kashyapa Relics from the reconstruction of a Buddha Stupa and Buddha Sakyamuni Relics given by His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama.
There are other relics such as: pills made from Ananda's robe, and pieces of : Padmasambhava's clothes, Milarepa's robe, Rechungpa's hair, Yeshe Tsogyal's hair, Tsangpa Gyare's bone, Lorepa's heart, Tsongkhapa's bone, Gampopa's Dharma robe, Atisha's clothes, Phagmo Drupa's robe, Lingchen Repa's clothes, Sakya Pandita's clothes, clothes of many Karmapas, Yantson Nyingpo's clothes, First Khyentse and First Kongtrul's clothes and cushions, and Jigme Lingpa's cushion.
These relics are here mentioned to request all Dharma devotees to rejoice and join this merit, and to dedicate it to all infinite mother sentient beings.
