Akashagarbha Mantra for Success
Tibetan Buddhist Encyclopedia is now 14 years old
Our Encyclopedia recently received a wonderful opportunity for a major renewal on its 14th birthday . After many years of growing our Encyclopedia had become bit slow and sometimes even decided not to answer when people knocked on the door.
A very big thank you and blessings to Dmytro Rudiy (rudiy.nl) for his great work in upgrading the server, website and all of the infrastructure and helping make TBE fast and reliable again for everyone!
We kindly ask our readers to help us cover the cost of this important upgrade and also help with the ongoing costs of keeping the Encyclopedia alive and freely available.

Rinpoche gave the following advice on the use of the Akashagarbha Mantra.
You can wear this mantra all the time, except at nighttime, when it might go under the body, under the arms or shoulders, and this would be negative karma. Otherwise, you can wear it all the time, especially if you are going to speak to someone, requesting something, any important time when you need to be successful.
But, of course, just by wearing the mantra, without meditating, extensive realizations and enlightenment won’t happen. From one's own side you have to have good karma, you need good karma. Good karma for success is like a big fund. Merit, good karma, is like the seed for the crops and this mantra is like the water and soil. The mantra helps the good karma, if it is there, to ripen quickly.
One time there was a problem in Malaysia at the Dharma center. When the center bought a new house, they made a deck outside which was against the bedroom window of the neighbor. The neighbor didn’t like this, which was understandable because her privacy was affected, and people could see in her window. So she complained to the government, they came to check, and were told to change the whole thing. So I sent this mantra for all the staff to wear for success.
Another of my students used this mantra for her business activities. There was a lady who always shouting at and criticizing this student. The student asked her secretary to hold this mantra in her hand and then talk to that lady. That day, when the secretary was holding the mantra, the lady completely changed—was gentle, totally different, and more respectful. It was a big surprise for them.
This mantra—the bodhisattva Akashagarbha mantra—has incredible benefits. Not only can you recite it, but you can wear it.
Mantra of one of the 8 Bodhisattvas that is called Akashagarbha: Bodhisattva “Essence of Sky":
OM SOTI KAMBALA SHI VI PULASAMBHVA DHARNA DHATU GO TSAR SOHA*
