Tibetan Buddhist Encyclopedia is now 14 years old
Our Encyclopedia recently received a wonderful opportunity for a major renewal on its 14th birthday . After many years of growing our Encyclopedia had become bit slow and sometimes even decided not to answer when people knocked on the door.
A very big thank you and blessings to Dmytro Rudiy (rudiy.nl) for his great work in upgrading the server, website and all of the infrastructure and helping make TBE fast and reliable again for everyone!

[1] Evaṃ me sutaṃ:|| ||
Ekaṃ samayaṃ āyasmā mahākaccāno avantīsu viharati kuriraghare papāte pabbate.|| ||
[013] atha kho hāliddikāni gahapati yenāyasmā mahākaccāno ten'upasaŋkami.||
Upasaŋkamitvā āyasmantaṃ mahākaccānaṃ abhivādetvā ekam antaṃ nisīdi,||
ekam antaṃ nisinno kho hāliddikāni gahapati āyasmantaṃ mahākaccānaṃ etad avoca:|| ||
Vuttamidaṃ bhante,||
Bhagavatā sakkapañhe "ye te samaṇa-brāhmaṇā taṇhāsaŋkhayavimuttā,||
te accantaniṭṭhā accantayogakkhemino accantabrahmacārino Accantapariyosānā seṭṭhā deva-manussānan" ti.|| ||
Imassa nu kho bhante,||
Bhagavatā saŋkhittena bhāsitassa kathaṃ vitthārena attho daṭṭhabbo? ti.|| ||
Rūpadhātuyā kho gahapati,||
yo chando yo rāgo yā nandi yā taṇhā ye upāyūpādānā cetaso adhiṭṭhānābhinivesānusayā,||
tesaṃ khayā virāgā nirodhā cāgā paṭinissaggā cittaṃ suvimuttanti vuccati.|| ||
Vedanādhātuyā kho gahapati,||
yo chando yo rāgo yā nandi yā taṇhā ye upāyūpādānā cetaso adhiṭṭhānābhinivesānusayā,||
tesaṃ khayā virāgā nirodhā cāgā paṭinissaggā cittaṃ suvimuttanti vuccati.|| ||
Saññādhātuyā kho gahagati,||
yo chando yo rāgo yā nandi yā taṇhā ye upāyūpādānā cetaso adhiṭṭhānābhinivesānusayā,||
tesaṃ khayā virāgā nirodhā cāgā paṭinissaggā cittaṃ suvimuttanti vuccati.|| ||
Saŋkhāradhātuyā kho gahapati,||
yo chando yo rāgo yā nandi yā taṇhā ye upāyūpādānā cetaso adhiṭṭhānābhinivesānusayā,||
tesaṃ khayā virāgā nirodhā cāgā paṭinissaggā cittaṃ suvimuttanti vuccati.|| ||
Viññāṇadhātuyā kho gahapati,||
yo chando yo rāgo yā nandi yā taṇhā ye upāyūpādānā cetaso adhiṭṭhānābhinivesānusayā,||
tesaṃ khayā virāgā nirodhā cāgā paṭinissaggā cittaṃ suvimuttanti vuccati.|| ||
Iti kho gahapati,||
yan taṃ vuttaṃ Bhagavatā sakkapañhe: "ye te samaṇa-brāhmaṇā taṇhāsaŋkhayavimuttā,||
te accantaniṭṭhā accantayogakkhemino accantabrahmacārino accantapariyosānā seṭṭhā deva-manussānan" ti.|| ||
Imassa kho gahapati,||
