Treatise Resolving Numerous Doubts about the Pure Land Teachings
Tibetan Buddhist Encyclopedia is now 14 years old
Our Encyclopedia recently received a wonderful opportunity for a major renewal on its 14th birthday . After many years of growing our Encyclopedia had become bit slow and sometimes even decided not to answer when people knocked on the door.
A very big thank you and blessings to Dmytro Rudiy (rudiy.nl) for his great work in upgrading the server, website and all of the infrastructure and helping make TBE fast and reliable again for everyone!
We kindly ask our readers to help us cover the cost of this important upgrade and also help with the ongoing costs of keeping the Encyclopedia alive and freely available.

釈浄土群疑論 (Chin Shih-ching-t’u-ch’yn-i-lun; Jpn Shaku-jodo-gungi-ron )
Also known as The Treatise Resolving Numerous Doubts. A work by Huai-kan, a priest of the Chinese Pure Land school, written in the seventh century. Huai-kan had been a priest of the Dharma Characteristics (Fa-hsiang) school, but later studied under the Pure Land teacher Shan-tao. He died before finishing the work, and Huai-yün, another of Shan-tao's disciples, completed it. Written in question-and-answer format, this treatise addresses questions about the Pure Land teachings from the standpoint of the Consciousness-Only doctrine of the Dharma Characteristics school.
