Trulshik Rinpoche's Lineage of Nyingtik Yabshyi
Tibetan Buddhist Encyclopedia is now 14 years old
Our Encyclopedia recently received a wonderful opportunity for a major renewal on its 14th birthday . After many years of growing our Encyclopedia had become bit slow and sometimes even decided not to answer when people knocked on the door.
A very big thank you and blessings to Dmytro Rudiy (rudiy.nl) for his great work in upgrading the server, website and all of the infrastructure and helping make TBE fast and reliable again for everyone!
We kindly ask our readers to help us cover the cost of this important upgrade and also help with the ongoing costs of keeping the Encyclopedia alive and freely available.

Kyabjé Trulshik Rinpoche received the Nyingtik Yabshyi in Tibet two and a half times:
- From Shuksep Jetsünma. This is the special lineage he holds.
- From Muktsang Kuchen Rinpoche at Gangri Thökar in front of Longchenpa’s kutsab.
- From Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö, he received the Lama Yangtik and Khandro Yangtik at Mindroling.
In exile, he also received it twice:
- From Dudjom Rinpoche and from Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.
Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche was requested to grant these empowerments many times, but only did so for the first time very recently when he bestowed it in its entirety upon His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The second time he gave the complete Nyingtik Yabshyi in Nepal at Shechen Monastery for the young tulkus of Dudjom Rinpoche and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and many other lamas and tulkus.
He has also given the Lama Yangtik at Lerab Ling and in the Dordogne.
