What Do You Get When You Donate?
Tibetan Buddhist Encyclopedia is now 14 years old
Our Encyclopedia recently received a wonderful opportunity for a major renewal on its 14th birthday . After many years of growing our Encyclopedia had become bit slow and sometimes even decided not to answer when people knocked on the door.
A very big thank you and blessings to Dmytro Rudiy (rudiy.nl) for his great work in upgrading the server, website and all of the infrastructure and helping make TBE fast and reliable again for everyone!
We kindly ask our readers to help us cover the cost of this important upgrade and also help with the ongoing costs of keeping the Encyclopedia alive and freely available.

What do you get when you donate to the translation of the Sūtra of Golden Light: The 29 and 31 Chapter Versions?
When you donate to the translation of the Sūtra of Golden Light: The 29 and 31 Chapter Versions, you get the satisfaction of knowing that you are contributing to one of the most important Buddhist translation projects happening today. Through practicing this kind of generosity, you accumulate great amounts of merit and positive karma, which will serve as the basis for happiness, success, wealth, protection, good fortune, and enlightenment in this and future lives.
In the Buddhist teachings, including the Sūtra of Golden Light, it is taught that the merit and positive potential that is generated from venerating and making offerings to the sūtras and Buddhist scriptures is limitless and inconceivable. In the Sūtra of Golden Light itself, it says multiple times that making offerings to the Sūtra of Golden Light, and in particular, contributing to the spread and propagation of the Sūtra of Golden Light, has incredible benefits. Lama Zopa Rinpoche and other high Tibetan lamas have made many similar statements.
However, beyond just the merit and good karma that you get from making offerings to this project, the Sugatagarbha Translation Group is offering some very special bonuses to all of our sponsors, to express our deep gratitude for their generosity:
